Doctor Who's 60th Anniversary logo

A Journal of Impossible Things is a review site dedicated to the British science fiction series, Doctor Who. Beginning on BBC Television in November 1963, the series contiues to flourish as it enters its 60th Anniversary year and is about to establish a larger international audience as it premiers on the streaming service Disney+.

The main aim of the site is to document "The Pilgrimage" of experiencing the complete Doctor Who mythos beginning from the very early travels of the First Doctor (played by William Hartnell) to the upcoming adventures of the Fourteenth and Fifteenth Doctors (played by David Tennant and Ncuti Gatwa, respectively). While Doctor Who is essentially a television programme, there is a wide range of audio dramas and audiobooks produced by BBC Audio and the independent company, Big Finish. These adventures will also form part of "The Pilgrimage" as a means to flesh out the adventures of that intrepid time and space traveller.

While Doctor Who is episodic by its very nature, the episodes produced during the Classic Series (stories produced from 1963 to 1989) and the Big Finish stories set during that era, form part of a larger serialized story. Therefore each blog entry will contain a review of the entire story.
